DESCRIPTION:The Linux camera landscape has transformed drastically since th
e kernel received its first ISP driver fifteen years ago. New kernel APIs
and userspace frameworks have enabled development of fully open-source cam
era stacks. Constant engagement with vendors has slowly but steadily born
fruits. This key combination of technical and non-technical efforts is sta
rting to paint a brighter future for camera support in Linux.\n\nThis talk
will present the current state of the camera landscape\, briefly explain
the journey we took\, and focus on the planned and foreseen evolutions. We
will explore the impact on all actors in the industry\, including image s
ensor vendors\, ISP (SoC) vendors\, and system integrators. Attendees will
learn how they should get ready for the future of cameras in Linux and ho
 w it will benefit them.
